I have been teaching since 1995, mainly EFL and French in Italy, from Primary to Secondary school.
A couple of years ago I moved to Houston, where I taught as a Bilingual Teacher for Pasadena ISD, and I am now a teacher of Italian at Bellaire High School, HISD, where I also taught French until 2014.
Since 2012 I started preparing my Italian students for the Advanced Placement test and also the International Baccalaureate.
In 2014 I also began working for ETS and the College Board as an AP Reader for the Italian AP, in order to get to know the exam better and be able to better prepare my students.

When I first came to this country in 2006, being far from home, I felt I really needed to keep practicing my mother language... unless I wanted it to be the first one to disappear from my resumé!
I started teaching Italian at the ICCC (Italian Cultural and Community Center) in 2007 and from 2009 to 2017 at the University of Saint Thomas. In 2010 at the ICCC, I created the PLIDA Certification Center and I have been Responsible for the PLIDA Certification (Società Dante Alighieri, see www.ladante.it) until 2014.

You could also find me on a new educational platform: EduFire (www.edufire.com), where I used to teach online to students around the world from the comfort of my home!

I have a BA in Modern Languages from my hometown university, in Sassari, Italy, an MA in Bilingual Translation from the University of Westminster in London, and an MA in Teaching Italian to Foreigners from the Università di Tor Vergata, in Rome, Italy.
I lived in Russia, UK, and traveled for long periods to France.

As you can see, languages are definitely my cup of tea!
(I speak English, French, Italian, Russian and Spanish, and I'm struggling to find the time to learn Japanese too...)

You can see the areas of my teaching certification typing my name on the SBEC (State Board for Educator Certification) website

That's all folks!
I'll see you in class!
